Kat Von D can’t stop, won’t stop. The makeup maven is always coming out with new cruelty-free items through her eponymous cosmetics line, showing the world one product at a time that compassion is really good-looking.
Her latest addition is a set of fur-free makeup brushes. Von D shared her excitement in an Instagram post, exclaiming:
I’ve teamed up with my #KvDArtistryCollective artists to create the most effective brush formations, using the highest grade synthetic fibers that mimic the same product distribution you would get from animal-based bristles. We are living in amazing times right now where technology is making it so easy to make compassionate choices in the products we purchase, without having to exploit animals.
We couldn’t agree more! As more consumers learn that using animal-hair brushes is no different than buying a fur coat, many companies are switching to synthetic.
Here are some more exciting new Kat Von D products that are both vegan and cruelty-free:
Contouring is here to stay, so get on board with a new palette that works for all skin types. Its formula is blendable and soft, and the highlight shades offer a soft luminosity. The palette is available on the Kat Von D and Sephora websites.
This two-step formula promises to eradicate those under-eye blues in 10 seconds flat. We’re in!
The Kat Von D website explains that the Saint and Sinner collection still features the original scents but now comes “in completely revamped bottles which Kat spent months lovingly hand-sketching until every detail was perfected. Did you expect anything less?” No, we didn’t!
If you haven’t tried radical lip colors yet, now’s your chance. This electric-blue shade can be worn alone or over a matte lip to help catch the light. Either way, this look will turn heads.
You’ll also want to try the Lock-It Handheld Mirror on for size, because the perfect mirror is a makeup bag must-have. It will be available on August 14.
Testing on animals is cruel and archaic. Stay in the compassionate present by ensuring that the brands you’re supporting are cruelty-free. Search for any company in our Beauty Without Bunnies database to find out if it tests on animals.
