It seems that Lean Cuisine—the freezer-section meal company—couldn’t ignore the growing demand for vegan options any longer. The company just launched two new vegan microwaveable frozen entrées, and customers are already raving about them.
The animal-friendly meals are part of Lean Cuisine’s new Origins line, which the company says focuses on organic ingredients and meat-free recipes. Sicilian-Style Pesto with Lentil Pasta is a “simple and satisfying vegan pasta recipe” made with organic lentil pasta, spinach, carrots, and pesto.
The Italian-inspired dish packs 15 grams of protein. Customers are already recommending this one. One Kansas City, Missouri, woman said:
“I’m loving this new Origins Line of dishes! [Every one] I’ve tasted is great! And filling! Especially this one! I’ve got everyone in the office trying this one! Keep up the great ideas!”
The other new vegan dish is called Coconut Chickpea Curry, described as a “deliciously adventurous vegan recipe.” Ingredients include chickpeas, carrots, peas, and a yummy curry sauce.
The dish, which serves up 19 grams of fiber and 12 grams of protein, is getting rave reviews, too. One satisfied Winter Garden, Florida, customer wrote:
“I don’t normally buy Lean Cuisines, but love curry, love vegetarian, [s]o I thought, “What the heck!” and bought it.
Heading directly to the [store] to buy more.”
Dorothy from Texas said, “Happy to see that Lean Cuisine is adding vegan options.” We couldn’t agree more, Dorothy. Companies around the world—large and small—are realizing that animals are not ours to eat. Animals used for food—whether in the meat, dairy, or egg industries—suffer immensely. Plus, a vegan lifestyle has tremendous health benefits—both to humans and the environment.
So many vegan frozen meal options are available now, and we’re thrilled to see that Lean Cuisine has added its name to the list of brands providing them. We can’t wait to see what other vegan options the company offers.
