Pit Bull Pup With Mutilated Ears Rescued From a Virginia Breeder
October 2003
PETA’s Community Animal Project responded to a call about a Virginia pit bull breeder who was not only selling sick puppies but also doing “home cropping” jobs on their ears. We visited the home and found a 4-month-old pup whose ears had been cut so deeply that cartilage was exposed. We convinced the breeder to relinquish the dog, who was immediately taken to the vet for treatment.
