Florida Dog Torturer Slammed With One-Year Sentence

October 2003

A Florida man was slapped with felony charges for binding his dog’s paws and snout and cutting off the animal’s testicles with a dull pocketknife. Police reportedly discovered the dog, Lightning, bleeding profusely and rushed him to a veterinarian, who saved the animal. PETA contacted authorities, and the abuser was sentenced to one year in prison.
