Shoppers at Miami’s Design District were met with a startling sight as a PETA Latino supporter dressed as a huge, 10-foot snake slithered up to Louis Vuitton and coiled herself in front of its doors to shed light on the suffering of snakes and other animals whose skin is stolen for bags, watchbands, and more.

Two “laboratory technicians” drew a crowd in London on World Day for Animals in Laboratories as they conducted “experiments” on a live human subject. A dozen photographers lined up in front of the action to get a picture as the screaming test subject was tormented. Shocked members of the public took our leaflets and learned about the cruel experiments that are still permitted on animals today.

Attendees at SeaWorld’s inaugural Fins and Flippers 5K were greeted by a surprising sight when they arrived: a giant crying “orca” chained to a massive inflatable arch, surrounded by a pod of PETA supporters. Wielding signs, these animal defenders called on the abusement park to release Corky—the longest-held captive orca in the world—to an ocean refuge.

Diners on their way to local eateries that serve pork are in for an earful when “Hell on Wheels”—PETA’s hyper-realistic pig transport truck that looks as if it contains real pigs on their way to slaughter—bombards them with actual recorded sounds of the animals’ panicked screams. A giant jailed “marmoset” and stuffed “monkeys” joined forces with PETA supporters for a University of Massachusetts–Amherst (UMass) event, calling on Chancellor Javier Reyes to close the laboratory of experimenter Agnès Lacreuse, who has squandered millions in taxpayer money to study menopause in marmosets—a condition they don’t naturally experience.

Serving slices of vegan cheese pizza, PETA’s “unicorn” drew plenty of attention and smiles. Passersby who tried it said they liked or loved it, with some saying it “tasted just like cheese!” Domino’s offers vegan cheese in other countries but not in the U.S. Kindly ask its CEO to add vegan cheese to the menu!

PETA lit up Portland’s busiest freeway with a searing demand: “CLOSE OHSU MONKEY LAB.” OHSU has a long history of failing to abide by state and federal animal welfare laws at its primate center, which imprisons more than 5,000 monkeys.
