PETA Statement re Doja Cat’s Fur Coat

Below, please find a statement from PETA Senior Vice President Lisa Lange in response to Doja Cat’s decision to wear a so-called “reclaimed” fur coat to The Daily Front Row’s fashion awards on Sunday:

Doja Cat’s “reclaimed” label is cat scat. The coyotes who were massacred for her coat cannot reclaim their lives. PETA encourages her to go faux and stop painting the town blood red in tormented animals’ skins.

PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to wear”—points out that Every Animal Is Someone and offers free Empathy Kits for people who need a lesson in kindness. For more information, please visit PETA.org or follow the group on X, Facebook, or Instagram.
