Guide to Ordering Vegan at Blaze Pizza

Published by .

Eating pizza is supposed to be a fun and delicious time, so it would be weird if it caused animals to suffer. Knowing they were hurt or killed for our food would make the meal sad and unenjoyable. The vegan options at Blaze Pizza mean that you can get a complete pizza—a cheesy, meaty pizza—with all the toppings you could ever hope for and no animal abuse. And ordering vegan at Blaze Pizza is super-easy:

Vegan Cheesy Bread

Start your meal off by requesting vegan cheese on Blaze’s cheesy bread appetizer, which is seasoned with oregano and topped with an olive oil drizzle. Dip it in a side of classic or spicy red sauce.

Vegan Pizza

The staple Vegan Pizza features the vegan regular dough, red sauce, dairy-free cheese, spicy meat-free chorizo, mushrooms, red onions, green bell peppers, basil, and an olive oil drizzle.

Decide on Your Dough

All the crusts at Blaze are vegan, which is pretty doughpe. Here are your options:

  • Classic dough
  • Gluten-free dough
  • High-rise dough

Select Your Sauce

The garlic pesto and white cream sauces contain cow’s milk, which means that animals suffered for them. Not on my pizza! These two reds are the right choices:

  • Classic red sauce
  • Spicy red sauce

Choose Your Cheese

There’s actually just one type of vegan cheese offered—which is great, because who has time to mull over nine different cheeses when there are so many different veggies to choose from? So here’s what you can get, depending on your preference:

  • Daiya vegan cheese
  • No cheese

Pick Your Toppings

This is where you really get to express yourself through the art of pizza—and now, you’re not limited to just veggies! The pizza chain has added vegan spicy chorizo at its more than 300 restaurants nationwide after talks with PETA. And some locations even offer vegan Chik’n! Wow. Plus, you can throw on any of the following:

  • Artichokes
  • Banana peppers
  • Basil
  • Black olives
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Chopped garlic
  • Green bell peppers
  • Jalapeños
  • Kalamata olives
  • Mushrooms
  • Pineapple
  • Red onions
  • Red peppers
  • Roasted garlic
  • Sautéed onions
  • Spinach
  • Zucchini

The only toppings you want to avoid are the animal-derived ones, because everyone knows that dead animals don’t belong on pizza.

Find a Finish

You’re almost there. Most of these sauces are vegan, with the exceptions of the ranch (which contains dairy and eggs) and the pesto drizzle (which contains dairy). But don’t worry—there are plenty of other drizzles for shizzle 👀:

  • Balsamic glaze
  • BBQ drizzle
  • Buffalo sauce
  • Olive oil drizzle

Settle on a Salad

Who are we to tell you that you have to get pizza? We’re just here to tell you which kind of salad to get if you don’t want pizza (or in addition to pizza). 😜 Get the Kale, Quinoa & Cranberries one.

Ditch Dessert

Not one of the desserts is vegan, but you’ll probably be too full from all that loaded pizza, anyway. #Health
