Here’s the inside scoop: After talks with PETA, Baskin-Robbins launched its first-ever dairy-free ice cream options. The first three vegan flavors were so successful that the company is adding more. Baskin-Robbins announced its May Flavor of the Month, which is the first oat milk–based ice cream available at a national chain. The Non-Dairy Strawberry Streusel is swirled with strawberries, cinnamon granola, and a crumbly streusel. While it’s only available during the month of May, the chain plans to release more oat-milk flavors throughout the year.

Availability of other vegan flavors varies by location, so look for these options at your nearest location: Chocolate Extreme, a rich dessert with chocolate ribbons and chocolate chunks; Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, a cookie-dough flavor with cookie pieces, chocolate chunks, and chocolate ribbons; and Coffee Caramel Chunk, an espresso base with chocolate chunks and a caramel ribbon.

Baskin-Robbins also offers vegan sorbet, including Daiquiri Ice and Watermelon Splash Ice flavors.

Baskin-Robbins is one of many companies on the ever-growing list of ice cream brands that understand that their scoops should reflect the public’s increasing interest in vegan options to improve their own health, help animals, and protect the environment.
