Caring community members have already started filling our local donation bins with squeakies, stuffies, and other toys to bring joy to lonely dogs who are forced to live outdoors 24/7 in areas where continuous chaining and penning remain legal—and with just a few clicks, you can lift these dogs’ spirits, too!

Your generous support will allow CAP to continue its vital work to make life a little less miserable for deprived dogs, many of whom suffer alone with no love, joy, or stimulation, day in and day out.
CAP fieldworkers always urge people to let their dogs live indoors and to treat them as family members or to relinquish ownership and allow PETA to give them a chance at finding the permanent and loving adoptive homes and families they deserve. When owners refuse, fieldworkers ensure that dogs forced to live outdoors have food and water, replace heavy chains with lightweight tangle-free running lines, stuff doghouses with straw in the winter, provide flea and tick preventives during warm seasons, transport animals to and from their no-cost spay and neuter appointments (for surgeries that PETA’s mobile clinics also provide free of charge), and so much more.
