Cosmo’s Compassionate Cuties

Cosmopolitan magazine just released its list of “Fun, Fearless Males of 2011,” and these boys aren’t just kind to the eyes, they’re kind to animals too.

The Vampire Diaries smoldering Ian Somerhalder may play a “cold one” on TV, but he won’t date a girl who doesn’t have a warm heart for animals. The proud pop to three rescued cats says, “I don’t care how hot a girl is—if she doesn’t like animals, it would be a major, major problem.”

And let’s gossip for a minute about Penn Badgley’s deal-breaker. The Gossip Girl hunk says he can’t handle a girl who doesn’t love dogs: “I find that if someone doesn’t like animals, I am a little suspicious of them.” Badgley definitely gets an Easy A from PETA.

PETA pal Chad Ochocinco danced his way onto the list because of his confidence and candor, both of which served him well when he took it all off for his anti-fur ad for PETA.

And the Fun, Fearless Male of the Year? Sexiest Vegetarian in the U.K. Russell Brand, who celebrated Christmas with his wife, Katy Perry, and a Tofurky
