Urge Manhattan Beach Association to Stop Exploiting Live Animals!

On November 16, the Downtown Manhattan Beach Business & Professionals Association reportedly displayed reindeer as props during its 27th Annual Pier Lighting event. Animals exploited for entertainment exist in perpetual states of deprivation, discomfort, and distress. Denied everything that’s natural and important to them—including the opportunity to seek mates, raise young, and explore their native habitat—they’re carted from one event to the next and subjected to a constant barrage of stressful and overwhelming stimuli, including people who try to touch them. PETA asked organizers to forgo such displays in the future, but our request was refused, and now, these animals need your help!

Please urge the Downtown Manhattan Beach Business & Professionals Association to keep events animal-free—then forward this alert far and wide.
