Torturing Cats Earns Pennsylvania Men Two Years in Prison
July 2003
Two Pennsylvania men pleaded guilty to breaking into a home and cutting 10 cats with knives, injuring eight and killing and disemboweling two. PETA pressured the prosecutor’s office to seek the strictest penalty, issued a news release, and gave several interviews. The judge, citing the horrible cruelty involved, gave each of the men 26 months in state prison.
