After meeting with PETA and learning how quickly animals and children can die when left unattended in hot cars, Rite Aid Corp. agreed to make and post warning signs, which are now on display at the company’s 67 Bartell Drugs stores in Seattle and its more than 2,200 Rite Aid stores nationwide! Never leave animals or children unattended in vehicles, especially during warm months. If you see an animal or a child in a parked car, take down the vehicle’s color, make, model, and license plate number and have the owner paged in nearby stores. Call the local humane authorities or the police if necessary.
