No Federal Funding for ‘Fight Club’ Hamster Experimenter

For the first time in more than 20 years, Richard Melloni at Northeastern University isn’t receiving funding from the National Institutes of Health to give steroids or cocaine to hamsters in order to make them fight. This news follows PETA’s exposé of the cruel and useless experiments and a complaint filed with the Massachusetts attorney general by PETA attorneys asking that Melloni be investigated for apparent violations of state laws against cruelty to animals and animal fighting.
