Dangerous Bill Defeated in Virginia General Assembly

Virginia legislators considered a dangerous bill, HB 2331, that would have threatened the welfare and safety of exotic and wild animals kept captive at unaccredited roadside zoos by impeding law enforcement and delaying help. PETA and other animal protection groups lobbied against it and rallied local advocates, and the bill was ultimately defeated.
