The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ruled that California can prohibit the sale of foie gras made by force-feeding ducks and geese—a decision that echoes the thoughts and sentiments of kind people all over the world. This victory follows years of PETA protests against foie gras, during which we showed videos of geese being force-fed—something that no one but the most callous chefs could stomach.
