Chained and Injured Pup Rescued in Virginia

PETA’s Community Animal Project came to the rescue of this little rat terrier who was found chained in a Virginia Beach backyard. She had become tangled in a rope and a cable which were wrapped so tightly around her leg that it had swelled to three times the normal size. We called animal control to the scene, and they immediately seized the dog.
