With Valentine’s Day on the way, PETA has a message for anyone on the way to or from Intercourse—that is, the village in Pennsylvania: If you want to heat things up in the bedroom, try going vegan. The group is negotiating with outdoor advertisers in Lancaster to erect a billboard that shows a woman whose red stocking–clad legs saucily form the “V” in “vegan” in the message “Dive Into a Vegan Lifestyle This Valentine’s Day.”

“PETA’s cheeky Valentine’s Day ad is a reminder that what goes on in the kitchen impacts what goes on in the bedroom,” says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. “Vegan meals are a delicious way to get your blood pumping and make sure you’ll be able to get on the road to Intercourse for years to come.”

Going vegan spares more than 100 animals a year immense suffering on farms, in slaughterhouses, and on the decks of fishing boats.

PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat”—offers tips for celebrating a sexy vegan Valentine’s Day on its website.
