Laurel-Rum Cookies

1 cup melted margarine
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. rum extract
2 cups flour
1-2 tsp. crushed laurel or bay leaves

• Combine the margarine and the sugar. Add the vanilla extract, rum extract, and flour. Mix well. Stir in the crushed laurel or bay leaves.
• Drop teaspoonfuls of the batter 1 inch apart onto a foil-lined baking sheet.
• Bake at 350°F for 10 to 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.

Makes 3 to 4 dozen
