Mayor Bill de Blasio Not to Blame for Groundhog Death

Sarah Palin is grasping at straws and can’t hold a candle to Mayor Bill de Blasio when it comes to animal protection—unless someone’s seen him out aerial wolf hunting recently. In the case of the groundhog, the blame lies with the organizers, and PETA has been after them for years—and still is—to stop using an animal in what many people, including the mayor, could be forgiven for having thought was a harmless gimmick, even though it’s not.
