What:    Beer fixes everything, or so the saying goes, and on Thursday, it will help “fix” cats and dogs in Hampton Roads and beyond, thanks to Coelacanth Brewing and PETA. One dollar from every cold brew sold during the “Beer ‘Fixes’ Everything” event at the brewery’s Ghent taproom will be donated to PETA’s mobile spay/neuter clinics.

When:    Thursday, December 15, 4:30–9 p.m.

Where:    Coelacanth Brewing, 760 A W. 22nd St., Norfolk

PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to abuse in any way”—offers no-cost to low-cost dog and cat sterilization surgeries to combat companion-animal overpopulation and homelessness. PETA’s Mobile Clinics Division has sterilized more than 136,000 animals, preventing millions more from ending up on the streets or in shelters.

Bodacious Pizza’s food truck will serve up vegan delights at the event, including barbecue vegan chicken, Tex-Mex pizzas, “pepperoni” calzones, and more. My Vegan Sweet Tooth will also be on site to provide decadent dairy- and egg-free desserts and savory treats.
