Cruelty-Free Makeup Brushes From Branded J!

Published by PETA Staff.

Did you know that most makeup brushes are made from animals tortured on fur farms? Peggy Hannaman-Jones does. That’s why this Emmy-nominated Hollywood hairstylist and makeup artist to the stars—including Heather Locklear, Terri Hatcher, Lucy Lu, and Eric Roberts—spent years trying to create the perfect synthetic brush. Three hundred hand-cut prototypes later, Peggy struck gold, and in 2005, Branded J Collections was born.

Proud to flaunt PETA’s bunny ears on their products, Branded J “takes pride in making products that can make a difference.” The company’s collection of custom-cut Taklon brushes, which can be ordered online, makes a HUGE difference for animals and also when it comes to applying your makeup. Unlike animal-hair brushes, these brushes aren’t loaded with dead skin cells, bacteria, and chemicals, which can cause your skin to break out. Branded J synthetic brushes are awesome, animal-friendly, and anti-bacterial.

Great for your face and better for your health, these brushes are a must-have for every makeup bag! Oh, and speaking of makeup bags, check out Branded J’s luxurious line of leather-free bags and cases.
