Ditch the Dairy With PETA’s Guide to Vegan Milk Chocolate Treats

Published by PETA Staff.

If you’re a vegan chocolate fanatic and need to satisfy your sweet tooth, you’re in luck. There are so many vegan milk chocolate brands to choose from that are creamier, sweeter, and kinder to animals compared to their dairy counterparts.

The cow’s milk that goes into nonvegan chocolate is the product of the suffering and exploitation that happens on dairy farms, where cows are confined to small spaces, forcibly inseminated, and torn from their babies. Cows are social creatures that form complex relationships with one another, and research shows that they can recognize over 50 other individuals within their herd.

If you’re having a milk chocolate craving, ditch the dairy and opt for these treats instead.
