Schindler’s List Star: What the World Would Look Like if Everyone Went Vegan

In the beautiful video spot Hope, by PETA Germany, vegan Schindler’s List actor Jochen Nickel plays a grandfather walking with his grandson through the ruins of an abandoned factory farm, one of thousands that were closed when humans stopped eating animal flesh.

As the pair leave the dark relics of the past behind them and walk together into a peaceful sun-drenched field, the grandfather tells his grandson, “I am the guilt and the conscience. And you … you are hope.”
