Michael Kors’ Fur Ban Is the Holiday Gift Celebrities Wanted

Published by Michelle Reynolds.

The rest of us can stop trying—Michael Kors has already won Best Gift of the Holiday Season. The fashion icon’s announcement that his design house and its recently acquired Jimmy Choo line were banning fur felt like a giant present marked, “To: Animals,” and wrapped up with a big red bow.

The victory followed years of PETA protests, more than a hundred thousand e-mails from compassionate people like you, meetings with PETA staffers, and a personal plea from our charming chum Tim Gunn, so we had to break out the bubbly. And it seems that the rest of the world was right there with us. Here are just a handful of our favorite posts from celebrities responding to the Christmas miracle.

Ask Canada Goose to join Michael Kors—and nearly everyone else who doesn’t live under a rock—and pledge to be fur-free.
