Ask Redford Union High School to End Donkey Abuse!

Redford Union High School in Redford, Michigan, is planning a cruel “donkey basketball” game for Thursday, March 5.

Donkey basketball games are miserable and dangerous for the animals involved. Donkeys are hauled from one location to the next in cramped, stuffy trailers and forced to appear in hundreds of games each year. During these events, donkeys are exposed to loud noises, bright lights, and chaos—all of which contribute to an extremely stressful environment—and animals are often shoved, kicked, dragged by the reins, or whipped when riders find them to be “uncooperative.”

Here’s what YOU can do to help: Send a polite note to Redford Union Schools administrators and urge them to cancel this cruel event immediately:

Thank you for speaking up for donkeys!
