If you’ve ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at the world’s largest animal rights organization, the new PETA Podcast has the answers. Hosted by broadcaster and commentator Emil Guillermo and available on iTunes, Stitcher, and Spotify, the podcast features PETA insiders, campaigners, investigators, legal strategists, and others speaking with unprecedented candor about their work for animals—and it gives the lowdown on PETA’s current initiatives and recent victories.

“Every PETA campaign has a story behind it that we think people would love to hear,” says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. “This gripping podcast also features useful tools and tips for anyone interested in helping animals.”

Kicking off the first episode on February 6 was PETA President and founder Ingrid Newkirk, who dished on her experiences running PETA for nearly four decades. She dispelled myths about the organization, discussed what inspired her to found PETA, and much more. New episodes launch every Wednesday at 1 p.m. ET. (Don’t miss this week’s deep dive into the deadly Iditarod race.)

PETA’s motto is “Animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, use for entertainment, or abuse in any other way.”
