Plans to Use Penguins as “Waiters” Are Canceled

BiZBash Media is a New York City-based business that provides information about event marketing, event planning, and business entertaining to the industry’s top professionals. PETA contacted BiZBash CEO David Adler when we learned that the company planned to use live penguins “staged as caterwaiters” in its two-day Javits Meeting & Event Expo. BiZBash issued a poll to event-planner organizations asking whether they believed that it would be acceptable to use live animals for decoration or other purposes at events, and the majority of respondents voiced opposition to the idea. Adler called PETA to let us know that BiZBash had decided not to use the live penguins and to invite us to be a part of the expo.
