“Animal byproducts are so bad for our bodies, and I feel as though my body is now pure and clean. I have so much energy and life now,” she told the magazine. “I also feel great knowing I don’t contribute to any deaths of any innocent creatures.”

The average vegan saves more than 100 animals’ lives every year—not to mention saving themselves from obesity, cancer, strokes, and heart disease. And if Rachel’s “Green Goddess” figure is any indication, the benefits don’t stop there. Join Rachel in being a “goddess” for animals. Fishy: Unfortunately, factory trawlers and aquaculture (fish farming) continue to kill millions of animals every year. The best way to end these cruel practices is to take fish off your plate for good. Take a moment to visit:

The freashwater fish industry is in a bad state right now.I have worked in the industry for 16 years and let me tell you,it’s bad. Alot of these wholesalers sell to big chains. These chains have no clue as to what they are doing. We have thousands of dead fish weekly in house, not to metion doa from over sea shipments.I’m upset with the whole Mcdonaldization within the industry. Who monitors this and when is enough? Your going to tell me,these people can raise fish and lose almost half of what they raise through poor shipping methods and a lack of knowledge. I have pictures and reports from 2001 on. It’s crazy how this is not an issue. HOW CAN IT NOT BE????
