Palak Matar
3 tsp. vegetable oil
1/4 tsp. cumin seeds
1/2 cup tomato purée
1 cup spinach paste
2 tsp. coriander powder
1/4 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. garam masala
Pinch turmeric powder
Salt, to taste
1 tsp. tamarind paste
1 cup peas, boiled
• Heat the oil and pop the cumin seeds in it. Add the tomato purée and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the spinach paste and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the coriander powder, chili powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, salt, and tamarind paste and stir. Finally, add the peas and cook for 5 minutes.
• Serve hot with your choice of Indian bread.
