1/4 cup canola oil
1/2 cup finely diced onion
1 banana pepper, chopped fine
1 bag veggie burger crumbles
1/2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1/8 tsp. smoked paprika
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 small can tomato sauce
1/4 cup chili sauce
1/2 cup faux beef broth
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. hot sauce
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 Tbsp. mustard seed

• Heat the oil in a sauté pan and sauté the onion, pepper, and crumbles for 5 minutes.
• Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 1 hour.

Makes 2 servings
