The video, titled “Labels,” follows 8-year-old Rebecca as she embarks on a mission to find out where her leather belt came from. When her mother can’t tell her, she brings her friends together, forming a crack team of young detectives who make a surprising discovery: that leather items can just as easily come from cats and dogs as they can from cows. PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to wear”—encourages people of all ages to seek out animal-friendly, vegan clothing and accessories for the holidays and the rest of the year.
