Garden City, N.Y. – PETA and Long Island Orchestrating for Nature (LION) stormed Nordstrom, which carries Canada Goose jackets, at the Roosevelt Field mall this morning in Garden City, New York, making sure shoppers saw graphic imagery showing that the brand—which uses coyote fur and goose down in its jackets—supports severe cruelty to animals. Video footage can be found here, here, here, and here.

“Shoppers’ jaws dropped when they saw coyotes caught in steel traps and geese plucked for what becomes the trim and stuffing of a Canada Goose jacket,” says PETA President Ingrid Newkirk. “We were met with support for the campaign and plan to continue until Canada Goose switches to animal-friendly materials.”

Protesters also gathered outside the store. For more information, please visit PETA.org.
