Madison, Wis. – In May, the Midwest’s mounting H5N2 bird flu death toll prompted PETA to begin negotiating with outdoor advertisers to place a billboard in Madison that shows a chicken hanging by the feet in front of a blood-spattered wall, with the caption “Bird Flu. The Writing Is on the Wall. Go Vegan.”

PETA’s billboard just went up on Highway 14 at McCoy Road. A photo is available here.

More information about the billboard, which will be up through June 28, is available in PETA’s original news release (available here).
