In light of New York’s new law that allows dogs into restaurants’ outdoor areas, PETA has released 6 Tips for Dining With Your Dog (available here). Our tips include some that many readers might not have thought of, such as feeding and walking dogs before sitting down to eat—an essential way to keep Fido comfortable. Other tips include making sure that dogs are in a safe place—but not under the table, where someone might accidentally kick them—and providing them with a comfortable blanket or pad to lie down on.

PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to abuse in any way”—has made the full list available here.
