Rescued Elderly Bear Beats the Odds With Stunning Transformation

For more than 30 years, Fifi suffered in captivity: First, she was forced to perform circus-style tricks, and then she spent more than 20 years stuck in a small, rusted cage, only able to pace back and forth. But this new video shows the stunning transformation that Fifi underwent in just five months after being rescued by PETA, whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to use for entertainment.” Fifi was transported on a 24-hour ride to the spacious Wild Animal Sanctuary in Colorado, and even though she’s quite elderly for a bear, she went from underweight and arthritic to big, beautiful, and strong.
