New York – Below, please find a statement from PETA in response to news that New York City plans to kill a buck who was found in Harlem:

Where there’s a will, there’s a way, and humane solutions are always preferable. If this deer hasn’t yet been killed, PETA supports humanely relocating him so that he can live out his life in peace. The natural habitat of deer and other wildlife has been destroyed by greedy overdevelopment, which forces animals into our cities and towns as they struggle to survive in a new world of concrete, roadways, and human domination. PETA recommends a tried-and-true, live-and-let-live approach to deer management, with environmental modification as the key.
