Harpursville, N.Y. – Below, please find a statement from PETA Foundation Vice President and Deputy General Counsel Delcianna Winders in response to reports that April, a giraffe used by Animal Adventure Park, is pregnant again:

Wild animals want freedom, not “stardom.” Animal Adventure Park’s addiction to racking up live-stream hits is dooming giraffe after giraffe to a life of confinement and deprivation, and PETA urges everyone who cares about wildlife to ignore this roadside zoo’s latest bid for attention.

PETA’s motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to use for entertainment.” More information about the premature deaths of giraffes in captivity is available here.
