Norfolk, Va. – With the start of Ramadan just around the corner, PETA is encouraging observers to break their daily fasts with delicious, healthy, and humane vegan dishes that are a perfect way to practice compassion for all living beings. And to help, PETA has posted a round-up of hearty vegan recipes for Ramadan—including fresh veggie kofta, crispy green falafel, decadent chocolate cake, and much more—on its blog.

“When we break our Ramadan fasts each night, we should celebrate life—all life,” says PETA’s Muhanned Al Naib. “PETA’s vegan recipes are a wonderful resource for anyone looking for a kind and healthy choice.”

PETA’s motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat,” and the full list of recipes is available here.
