Music Video Star and Queens Native Bares All in Vegan Campaign

What: Yeezy model Amina Blue will unveil her gorgeous new PETA campaign in New York City on Thursday during a special event hosted by PETA President Ingrid Newkirk. The ad, in which the music video star is seen dripping with gold body jewelry and wearing nothing else, proclaims, “You Can Look Luxurious Without Harming Any Animals. Wear Vegan. Be Vegan.”

The 23-year-old Queens native, who often shares animal rights news with her half a million Instagram followers, will also open up about why she’s been vegan for over four years. “Being a vegan is more than just a diet—it’s a whole lifestyle,” she says. “It’s a mindset. It’s the way you live your life. It’s just an overall glow I feel you get from being vegan. Your hair grows a lot quicker. … You have a lot more energy. Clearer skin. … [And] it’s beneficial for the Earth, for our health, for the environment, for the animals.”
The unveiling will be followed by an address by Newkirk in which she’ll share what it means to be an unstoppable force for animals as part of her international speaking tour. “An orangutan used in a stage show, an elephant in a circus boxcar, a cow suffering on a factory farm, and a monkey in a laboratory cage rely on compassionate people to speak up,” she says. “PETA illustrates how sticking our necks out for animals can change the world.”
Amina Blue joins a long list of celebrities—including Jhené Aiko, Kid Ink, P!nk, D.R.A.M., Mýa, Kesha, Sia, and others—who’ve teamed up with PETA (whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to wear”) to promote kindness to animals.
