PETA is preparing to crown this year’s Sexiest Vegan Next Door—and three Los Angeles–area vegans are vying for the title. They beat out hundreds of other entrants from across the nation to advance to the final round of 10 male and 10 female contestants. Visitors to PETA.org can now help PETA select the two lucky winners—one man and one woman—who will each receive a free vacation for two to Maui, Hawaii, courtesy of Humane Travel.

  • Asher Brown (left) stopped eating meat as a child and later went vegan after he decided that he didn’t want to cause suffering to any living being. His dog-friendly office is meat-free, and he’s produced and directed almost 200 videos and commercials for vegan brands and nonprofits, reaching millions of viewers.
  • Natasha James (middle) owns and operates Rawcells, a delivery tricycle full of vegan treats such as “twinkies,” “snickers,” and doughnuts. Her goal is to show Los Angelenos how easy it is to go vegan—and she’s scoring big among diners looking for something novel and sweet.
  • Meggan Anderson (right) is an actor and model who won’t perform with exploited wild animals or wear animal skins—and in the 13 years since she went vegan, she’s participated in dozens of PETA-led demonstrations, including several in which she has stripped down for the cause!

“Through attention-grabbing animal rights videos, innovative plant-based sweets, and provocative street demonstrations, these Los Angelenos are showing the world how exciting and delicious vegan living can be,” says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. “Each one of the finalists in PETA’s contest is a testament to how sexy vegans are—inside and out.”

Voting for the finalists to help PETA determine whom it should select as the winners ends at 12 noon EDT on June 21. PETA will select the winners based on several factors, including vote count. See the full contest details here. Winners will be notified and announced on June 28.
