Los Angeles – R&B singer Jhené Aiko appears in the buff for a new PETA campaign that proclaims, “Drop the Fur.” The Grammy Award nominee and PETA’s Sexiest Vegan Celebrity of 2016 unveiled the ad in Los Angeles on Monday at “Naked Ambition,” a retrospective exhibit of the group’s naked celebrity campaigns. Photos of the event are available here.

“Animals have feelings, they have souls, they have emotions, and the way that they are killed for fur is very inhumane,” says Aiko in an exclusive video interview. “They’re electrocuted, they’re beaten, they’re drowned, they’re skinned alive. And once you know that, it’s, like, how could you think wearing fur is cool? … [I]t’s not.”

Aiko previously starred in an animal adoption campaign for peta2, PETA’s youth division, and is part of a long list of celebrities—including Kid Ink, P!nk, Mýa, TLC’s Chilli, Kesha, Sia, and others—who’ve teamed up with PETA (whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to wear”) to promote kindness to animals.
