Coelacanth Brewery will be going to the dogs on April 26, when it will host a vegan happy hour, complete with cold brews and hot snacks supplied by the Bumbling Bee food truck. A percentage of the proceeds—including $2 for every beer sold—will go directly toward supporting PETA’s free community dog park, which is located on the waterfront and named in honor of legendary animal advocate Bea Arthur:

When:    Thursday, April 26, 6–9 p.m.

Where:    Coelacanth Brewing Company, 760A W. 22nd St., Norfolk

“Coelacanth’s vegan happy hour will help keep PETA’s Bea Arthur Dog Park the most fun place for Hampton Roads’ dogs to run and play,” says PETA Senior Vice President Daphna Nachminovitch. “We invite everyone to join us and enjoy some great beer and delicious snacks while supporting a playground that’s loved by dogs in Norfolk and beyond.”

PETA’s motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to abuse in any way,” and more information about the event is available here.
