Alicia Silverstone Teaches Oprah to Flirt With Veganism

Published by PETA Staff.

The Oprah Winfrey Show is turning into V TV—vegan TV, that is. Noted vegans like Quantum Wellness author Kathy Freston as well as famous chef Tal Ronnen appeared on the show in 2009, and just the other day, my new idol, Alicia Silverstone, was on Oprah, giving vegan shopping tips; making recipes from her book, The Kind Diet; and, well, talking about poop. But she’s still cool—I want her to be my new BFF.

She encouraged people to “flirt” with vegan food so that they’ll see how much they like it. Alicia has a fun, infectious personality that will make people excited to go vegan, and since she looks so healthy—and the food she makes looks so delicious—I bet plenty of daytime TV fans are flirting with a vegan diet already. I, for one, can’t wait to make the Cheesy-Oozy Guacamole Bean Dip and the Chocolate Peanut Cups. Yum!

I’m done gushing now, but if anyone wants to read more about Alicia’s kind lifestyle and her drool-worthy recipes, just order The Kind Diet.
