World’s First Avocado Ice Cream Launches

Published by PETA Staff.

Vegan ice cream made from cold-pressed avocados? We’d like to kiss the geniuses responsible for this delight. Created by a family business named Cado Desserts, Cado Avocado Ice Cream is the first avocado-based ice cream brand and is currently available in nine states across the Midwest.

Three flavors—Deep Dark Chocolate, Mint Chocolate Chip, and Simply Lemon—can currently be found in 90 stores.

You might recognize the Cado logo, as the company also produces Shaktea kombucha.

To make matters even more enticing, the brand is currently experimenting with ice cream sandwiches and bars in Orange Dream, Mexican Cocoa, Mocha Chip, Matcha Green Tea, and Pistachio flavors. It plans to expand nationwide in 2017, but for now, snap up the ice cream at available markets, and tell store owners and managers you love it!
