Exquisite ambiance, elegant dining, and a state-of-the-art culinary academy—Plant Food + Wine has it all. With locations in Los Angeles and Miami, the restaurant focuses on locally sourced and raw ingredients. And when we say “local,” we mean it. With an on-site garden, many of the dishes—which look almost too gorgeous to eat—use flowers, herbs, and other freshly picked ingredients. As if that weren’t enough, the Miami location received a stellar four-star review from the Miami Herald and may be the first vegetarian or vegan restaurant to receive such recognition from a major publication.

As an added treat, Maine-based Arata, specializing in Asian-inspired cuisine, will be holding a pop-up at Los Angeles’ Plant Food + Wine location for 11 days only—July 28 through August 7. It will include a noodle bar and delicious steamed buns. Try it while you can!

When you dine at Plant Food + Wine, here are just a few of the immaculate plates that you can savor or devour:

We’ve all had potatoes, but not like this.

The house-made vegan cheese platter includes soft-mixed peppercorn cashew cheese, aged smoked cashew cheddar, aged white truffle cashew cheese, and soft cashew-macadamia cheese encrusted with fresh herbs from the garden—served with pickled strawberries and rhubarb, mustard seed, and almond-fennel crackers.

These were almost too beautiful to eat. Almost.

Here is some savory comfort food at its finest:

This explosion of color matches the bold flavors:

This raw churro actually might be heaven on a plate, along with passionfruit cashew cheesecake that, well, takes the cake:

The spaces also offer a culinary academy, PLANTLAB which focuses on the preparation of raw plant-based foods as well as fermentation. The academy has a flexible curriculum schedule with weekend courses and longer programs. In addition to Los Angeles and Miami, the academy has locations in Belfast, Maine, and Hua Hin, Thailand, and also offers online courses.
