Match Your Favorite Meals and Wines!

We have chosen to pair some of our all-time favorite recipes with some great vegan wines, which are all available from PETA Business Friend The Organic Wine Company.

Creamy Baked Artichoke Dip: To start off the festivities, we have chosen a couple of fan favorites that are sure to please! This recipe is one of the few for vegan artichoke dip out there that does not include vegan mayonnaise—you won’t even miss it when you take a bite of this creamy topper! It goes particularly well with French bread, sourdough, or pita chips. Enjoy it with a chilled, sparkling glass of Blanquette de Limoux.

Wine Pairings 1

“Bacon” and “Cream Cheese” Stuffed Mushrooms: For more utensil-free eating, try these stuffed mushrooms that will impress even the carnivores at your table! Enjoy them with a glass of Guy Chaumont Pinot Noir.

Wine Pairings 2

Colorful Quinoa Salad: Need a splash of healthful color? Summery in flavor and festive in hues, this protein-packed salad is sure to satisfy that craving for some veggies—with zest! Enjoy it with a cool glass of Eugene Meyer Riesling.

Wine Pairings 3

Maple Chipotle Sweet Potato Bisque: The scents of fall and winter will stream through your home when you lift the lid off your pot of this sweet, creamy bisque, which is simple in terms of ingredients, smooth in texture, and warm in aftertaste. Want to warm up this dish even more? Pair it with some Chateau Laubarit Entre-Deux-Mers. (Try to say that five times fast!)

Wine Pairings 4

Green Bean Casserole: No holiday table should go without this holiday classic! With only a couple of vegan substitutions, this casserole is easy to whip up for your loved ones. Enjoy it with a glass of La Marouette Sauvignon Blanc.

Wine Pairings 5

Vegetable Barley Pot Pie: Martha Stewart may not be vegan, but she sure can cook for one! For darling, individualized servings that will make your guests “ooh” and “ahh” at your master cooking skills, prepare these scrumptious pot pies. Pair them with another glass of Chateau Laubarit Entre-Deux-Mers.

Wine Pairings 6

The Celebration Roast: For those who would prefer that turkeys keep gobbling rather than gobbling them, there’s the Celebration Roast by the masters at Field Roast. Enjoy servings of this minimally processed, perfectly seasoned “roast” with a smile, knowing that it saved Tom his life. Enjoy it with a glass of sweet Château Bousquette Saint Chinian Prestige.

Wine Pairings 7

French Toast Casserole: Is it breakfast, or is it dessert? It’s up to you! Try this pecan-encrusted, veganized Paula Deen recipe on your menu this year for a sweet spin on your usual holiday table! If you can take breaks between bites of this decadent dish, pair it with Serge Faust Champagne Carte d’Or Brut Champagne.

Wine Pairings 8 final

All-American Apple Pie: Nothing says holidays quite like apple pie! Finish off your evening with one last layer of indulgence. To test your sweet tooth, top it with a scoop of almond ice cream and a drizzle of caramel! Pair it with a glass of Cartagene Dessert Wine.

Wine Pairings 9

Caramel Popcorn: Want to send your guests home with something sweet for the next day? Make a batch of this simple holiday classic, and package it for your loved ones to take along as a reminder of the sweet memories that you had together this holiday season.

Tip: Attach a little thank-you note to the treat, along with a list of the menu from your evening together. It’s a great way to answer the “What was that thing you made?” question that you’re bound to receive a few times the day after your fabulous holiday gathering.
