Join PETA’s Online Marketing Team

Thanks to our adept use of the Internet for activism and outreach, PETA’s online marketing team achieved several milestones in 2009—amassing more than 450,000 animal rights advocates on Facebook (between our PETA and peta2 pages), attracting more than 65,000 followers on Twitter (check out our PETA and peta2 accounts), becoming the fourth most subscribed advocacy group on YouTube.com, and exceeding 5 million views of our heartbreaking videos on YouTube. Our blog, The PETA Files, ranks in the top 1,000 of all the world’s blogs!

PETA was also selected to receive the annual Innovator Award for Advocacy by Convio—the leader in online activist technology—and we were ranked the second most influential social cause organization (second only to the American Red Cross) by digital marketing firm Sparxoo.

Thanks to PETA’s continued online success and the organizational commitment to engage with people online, PETA’s online marketing team has grown to include more than 20 positions, and we’re not stopping yet! We have many new positions open, and there may be one that’s right for you.

At PETA, we aim to be the best and the boldest. We are excited about all our unique and edgy online campaigns, from our annual State of the Union Undress to our Sea Kittens campaign. We’re proud of our fun Super Chick Sisters and Trollsen Twins Dress-Up games, our high-profile celebrity work, and most importantly, PETA’s undercover investigations—all of which we spotlight online and help release to the world.

Along with PETA’s Campaigns and Youth Campaigns departments, PETA’s online marketing team is moving across the country from Norfolk, Virginia, to a so-new-it’s-not-even-open-yet office in Los Angeles. We thought, “What better place could there be to house those responsible for PETA’s eye- and headline-catching, envelope-pushing, public-influencing, and just plain quirky and interesting actions that have helped make PETA the most well-known and effective of all animal protection groups?”
