Is Your Hurl Worth $50?

Published by Michelle Reynolds.

If you get sick in Key West, Florida, it could cost you a lot more than some embarrassment and a new pair of shoes. The Key West City Commission voted to allow cab drivers to charge people who throw up in their taxis a $50 fine.

Never ones to miss an urpportunity to get our cruelty-free message out, PETA is offering free “gag bags” for cab drivers to store in their vehicles. People who’ve had a little too much fun can save themselves some bucks, and cabbies can save themselves an unpleasant cleanup. But the best part, of course, is that everyone can save animals after they’ve seen this message:

The thought of chickens having their beaks cut offpigs being scalded to death, and cows being strung up by one leg before their throats are slashed is enough to make anyone lose their lunch. So we’re hopeful that our surprise message will bag lots of new vegans.
