D.C. Wine Fest Discovers That Vegan Cheese Is Goudanough to Eat

PETA’s vegan “milkmaids” descended on D.C.’s Capital Wine & Cider Fest to offer attendees the chance to complement their drinks with free samples of Daiya’s new dairy-free smoked Gouda cheese and tasty vegan pâté from Tartex. The ladies also served up a reminder that going vegan is the best way to help animals and stay trim and fit.

In addition to being far less likely to suffer from killer diseases, such as cancer, heart disease, and diabetes, every person who goes vegan saves the lives of more than 100 animals every year.
